The wedding that almost didn’t happen. As fires ravaged Northern Californias Sonoma wine region, this couple and their families feared the worst. See, this was new territory for them. The bride and groom, along with their guests, were here from out of town. A destination wedding. A collection of their favorite people from Minnesota and all over the country had made the trip to California for their special day. A day that almost didn’t happen, but thankfully still did. A wedding day so stunning, so lucky to have been able to be outside, let alone not be evacuated (which the resort was two days later). A day that they will never forget, because of the fires, and because it is the start of their legacy of love at their Vintners Inn Wedding. Featured on Style Me Pretty today!
Amanda and Scott tied the knot overlooking the stunning lines of vineyards at Vintner’s Resort. A classic garden meets winery inspired day, planned and designed by Cambria Events, Guests were serenaded by a harpist, Susan Weinstein, as they arrived. A stunning ceremony set up, draping, rose petals, and custom wood wedding signs designed by Lettering by Alyssa. Beautiful programs by Minted Weddings that matched their invitation suite guided guests to their evening activities. There wasn’t a dry eye in the audience after the groom’s two sisters and mother sang them a love ballad from Adele. The two exchanged their vows before heading off to celebrate with their favorite people in style in California.
The bride was dressed in a stunning lace gown from Enzoani. Next to her stood her sister and best friends in mix-matched gowns, adorned in a romantic shade of grey with pink undertones. A mixture of updos and curled hair made for a romantic vibe by The Powder Room. Classic, feminine looks by Samantha Kefauvr Makeup stole the show. Their look was not complete without dripping white florals with greenery from Vanda Floral Design. Elements of navy popped throughout their garden, winery day. The gentlemen dressed in navy suits and the adorable ring bearers sporting navy bow ties and suspenders.
Guests traveled across the Vintner’s Resort property to an outdoor seating area complete with a lounge, outdoor bar, and passed appetizers for cocktail hour. The bride and groom invited their guests to leave them love notes on bottles of wine – ones they would enjoy after 1, 5., 10, 15, and 20 years together. Signature drinks to fit both of their personalities were the perfect way to toast to cocktail hour and the impending al fresco reception.
Along the lawn, guests were invited to a classic outdoor reception. It was complete with wooden signs, a mix of farm tables and rounds, cafe lights, and more dripping florals with rentals from Encore. After a multi-course meal from Vintners, guests enjoy cake and desserts by Moustache Baked Goods. After dinner, there was dancing on the patio to the sounds of Premier Productions, under the sky. That was something they didn’t expect to see with all of the smoke in the area.
Thankful for a safe, beautiful wedding day, these two headed off to Maui to celebrate their union and the beginning of their legacy of love.
